To begin with, the most representative typologies of housings units and other possible spaces will be organized. Afterwards it would be connected with a virtual ventilation conditions study thanks to a specific simulation software. Later gas tracers and specific equipments of detection would validate the most representative conditions of ventilation by means of the real placed experimentation in housings.
Starting from the definition of the spaces and at the time that computer simulations are being fulfilled, it would be necessary to study grid, ducts and chimneys constructive procedures, as well as the economic consequences of the different variations. Eventually the chapter of conclusions would be written.
The work consists of two reports: The first one about selection, virtual simulation and subsequent real experimentation of accepted solutions. The second one about the constructive inherent aspects, the economic consequences and the final conclusions with proposals. An advisable overlapping between the fist and the second section is expected, although they might exceptionally be independent.
On the occasion of the draft of the Technical Code of the Building HS 3 Quality of the Indoor Air, the development of a supplementary research was proposed for a validation and endorsement of some of its theoretical aspects.
Due to some economic limitations at that moment it was not possible to carry out the mentioned investigation, so that the present proposal is an excellent opportunity to continue the improvement and perfection of the Code, studying accepted solutions and its operation in specific applications.
It would be a matter of virtually and experimentally validating the Accepted Solutions for the housing ventilation that HS 3, Quality of the Air proposes in the Technical Code of the Building.
METHODOLOGY AND WORK SCHEDULE
Research works have been divided in the following stages:
- Selection and proposal of accepted solutions for different setting.
- Simulation by mechanics of fluids’ numerical codes.
- Codes validation with tests in housings by means of tracer gas technologies.
- Study of the constructive execution of the different solutions.
- Costs and offers valuation.
- Proposal and improvements to the accepted solutions.
